Wheel Balancing Service

Wheel or tyre balancing is the process in which we analyse how your wheel with tyre is running and ensure it’s balance is centred and spins as true as possible.

Small imbalances in your tyre and wheel setup can result in vibrations when you are travelling at speed, resulting in vibrations throughout the car, uneven tyre wear, uneven brake wear and the obvious issues in having unaccounted for stress on body and engine parts.

By balancing your wheel and tyre correctly, we make adjustments that will even out the spin, removing the vibration and uneven running. This is usually done by adding small weights at points on your wheel that will counteract any existing imbalance.

Wheel and tyre balancing will only work if your wheel is ‘true’ and not bent or otherwise damaged. It is meant to equalise the small differences that can occur in wheel/tyre setups.
